Diversity Scholarship

Regretfully, the 2020 NSEA|NEASEA Conference has been cancelled due to the continued issues surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, and as such, we will not be able move forward with scholarships for this year. For more information on the conference cancellation and the upcoming free webinars, please visit the conference website.

NSEA is dedicated to promoting diversity. The Diversity Scholarship provides a professional development opportunity to an administrator from an underrepresented college & university of designated minority groups to attend the NSEA annual conference and SEE Training sessions.

NSEA will fund one (1) Diversity Scholarship for an administrator to attend our conference and professional development training provided at the national meeting to be held in Baltimore, MD on October 14-16, 2020.

Applications will be accepted from institutions designated by the United States Department of Labor, Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP), as Minority Colleges and Universities. These institutions include Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) and Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCU). The grant recipient will receive the $475 conference registration fee, $375 SEE Training registration fee, $150 annual membership dues credit, and up to $1200 for hotel and travel expenses.

Note: Preference will be given to institutions who are not current NSEA members, members who have not been able to attend a conference in the past, and institutions with no funding available for professional development.

Recipients of this scholarship will be notified. The recipients must complete their NSEA Conference Registration Form by the early bird deadline. Recipients are responsible for making their own travel and hotel arrangements. Refer to the NSEA website for additional conference, hotel and descriptions of the various professional development sessions.

In these ever changing days we find ourselves in, if the 2020 Annual Conference does not occur as planned in October, recipients of the 2020 Campillo, Diversity, and SEE Training Scholarships will need to reapply for scholarships for the 2021 Conference and SEE Training. 2020 Scholarships will not transfer to the 2021 Conference and SEE Training.
